GLAXY POCKET PLUS(GT-S5301) CYANOGEN MOD(DISCUSSION)

HI GUYS THIS IS MY FOURTH POST OF GALAXY POCKET PLUS
                                                         AS YOU ALL KNOW THERE ARE NO CUSTOM ROMS AVAILABLE FOR GALAXY POCKET PLUS UNTIL NOW...

        SO IN THIS BLOG I WILL UPDATE YOU ON THE RECENT CHANGES OF CM 10.1(JELLY BEAN) WHICH IS IN PROGRESS FOR GT-S5301[GALAXY POCKET PLUS].....................................................SO HERE ARE THE LATEST UPDATES


A GUY IS WORKING ON CM 10.1 HE IS WORKING VERY HARD TO ACCOMPLISH IT BUT HE IS ONE SO THAT MIGHT TAKE A LITTLE TIME SO HERE HE IS WHAT HE IS DOING

-Rooting ...DONE
-CWM recovery ...DONE

ONCE AGAIN! This is only for test purposes! This build is far from being even Alpha version so remember:
- No GSM
- No WiFi
- No bluetooth
- No GPS
- No AUDIO
- Screen colours issues
- and so force and so long

Do not forget to create backup using CWM Recovery.

To install:

1. Go to recovery
2. Go to "mounts and storage" menu and use "format /system"
3. Go to "install zip" menu and install doenloaded zip from SD card or from sideload
4. Use "wipe data/factory reset" menu
5. Reboot system

IMPORTANT NOTICE: I'm not responsible for any problems with your device - you do it on your own risk! So brave guys go, the rest go away - as my BJJ school slogan says: "Run with us or run from us"

CLOCK WORK MOD RECOVERY (CWM RECOVERY) FOR GT-S5301(GALAXY POCKET PLUS)

HI THIS IS MY SECOND POST ON HOW TO FLASH A CWM RECOVERY ON GALAXY POCKET PLUS
HERE ARE THE STEPS

1.U MUST BE ROOTED TO DO IT
2.DOWNLOAD THIS RECOVERY IMAGE-https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9B_MYcrSzXOY3haWmZic1hNbUU/edit

3.DOWNLOAD TERMINAL EMULATOR FROM PLAY STORE-https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=en

4.FLASHING BEGINS

DO IT CAREFULLY

1. Download and place the ClockworkMod Recovery Image on your Desktop.
2. Head over to the Google Play and download and install the Terminal Emulator app on your device.
3. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.
4. Copy the Recovery Image over to the root of your SD card.
5. Once it’s been copied, disconnect your device from your PC.
6. Launch the Terminal Emulator app from your App Drawer.
7. Type in following commands into the app:
su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6
8. It’ll flash the CWM Recovery on your device
9. Once the recovery’s been flashed, reboot your device.
10. You’re all done!
Brilliant! Your device’s been successfully equipped with a custom recovery to enable you to flash ROMs and Mods!

                       HERE ARE THE STEPS AND PRECAUTIONS 

PRECAUTIONS---

1.DONT USE ROOT UNLOCKER PRO OR FREE IT WILL NOT WORK ON GALAXY POCKET PLUS
2.DONT TRY ANY OTHER METHODS,OTHER  METHODS WONT WORK AND MIGHT BRICK YOUR DEVICE


STEPS


2.DOWNLOAD MODIFIED STOCK RECOVERY FROM HERE-

3.DOWNLOAD UPDATE PACKAGE FOR ROOTING-

4.DOWNLOAD SAMSUNG DRIVERS(KIES)[DONT NEED TO INSTALL IF YOU ARE USING WINDOWS 8]-http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consumer/mobile/mobile-phones/smartphone/GT-S5301ZWATGY-support

NOW THE TOUGH PART

STEP 2 FLASHING THE UPDATES
  1. Turn off the device, and then boot into Download Mode by holding volume down, home and power button all together simultaneously. When the Download mode warning appear, plug in your phone to the computer via USB connector and press volume up button to continue. The device will load in ODIN download mode.

  2. On your computer, run ODIN 3.07. Don't change any setting (checkboxes ) just leave them in default state. Your device should appear in "ID:COM" part of the screen as serial device (i.e. "COM38") - if not check if your USB port is functional and Samsung drivers/kies installed correctly.

  3. Click on PDA button and choose the modified recovery file that you downloaded earlier. Don't rename or decompress the file - otherwise it will not work. Wait until ODIN decompress the package and check the checksums. After it just press START button and wait until the process is over.

    4.
  4. On your computer, copy the update package for rooting file to the Micro SD card and after that, put the card in your phone's slot. (DO NOT  RENAME OR DECOMPRESS THE FILE)

    5.
  5. Switch off your device again, and then boot into recovery mode by holding volume up, home and power button to switch on. Using volume up and down buttons navigate to menu item "apply update from external card" and press power button to commit operation. Then navigate to Root_Superuser_3.1.3......zip file and press power button again.

    6.
  6. Done. Your device should be rooted now. You can check it with various free programs like Root Checker available at Google Play.
